RESEARCH

Suggests using castor oil to smooth down the brows and covers with an orange creme colour to tone down bluish tones in the brow
Although I knew to contour the temples, I was not sure why - but now I know it is to make the hairline seem lower as mens hairlines are naturally higher.

I think this drag make up is quite subtle in comparison to some other drag make ups (see examples at bottom of page) I think without the harsh and high eyebrows, he could pass for being female.

Fig. 48

Bondo pieces are used on the cheeks which I found surpising as I thought adding to the cheeks would make the model look more feminine rather than masculine

Fig. 50

I think this female to male transformation is impressive, particuarly as the only prosthetics used were a moustache and bondo transfers. However I do not think it is entirely convincing, which I feel is more to do with the build of the model as she still looks quite feminine, rather than the make up itself. I really like the way they have created a character for the model as I feel this makes the make up more effective - it seems to have a back story.
Fig. 51
I think this make up by Bill Corso is incredible - I could not believe the transformation. I think in comparison to the above picture, this looks a lot more realistic however it is unknown whether this picture has been edited.

This look is not subtle yet it is not an excessive amount of make up and is a look that could be worn casually. There is focus on the eyeliner and the lips and the contouring is subtle.
The contouring of this make up is very severe and there is a big contrast of highlight nd shadow. This is obviously a drag take on Marilyn Monroe - with the red lips and beauty spot. The wig is also exaggerated as it is a drag look.
