FINAL DESIGN
EYES
After applying my sillicone eyebags, I will apply my ageing stipple on the eyes of my model to recreate the eye bags of my portrait. I will then use skin illustrator to create a base and paint pieces. I will be using the krstyan Mallet skin illustrator pallete as this contains useful tones such as the pastel yellow tone. Other useful tones for this area are the olive adjuster and the vein tone.
SKIN
I will then use my Make up International foundation pallete. I will use the olive/orange tone and use the light colour to create the highlights. I will use the fx skin illustrator and will stipple subtle reds to create the light redness on the cheeks which look like broken capillaries.
Although I intend to use some light shadow for example around the eyebags and lines however I am not going to paint the same shadow that can be seen in my painting. Instead I will be using lighting to create these shadows naturally. Therefore the skin will mostly be natural tones.
BEARD
I will paint the beard brown and black using my eyebrow wand as this allows me to cover a large amount of the hairs instead of painting them with a brush. The sideburns will also require darkening. On the chin area and by the mouth, some of the area is an orange tone. I will paint this on the skin and then paint inidvidual hairs with a small brush.
I intend to make the bottom of the chin very dark to give the illusion that the chin is longer and there is more hair.
HAIR
I will paint the area of my models hair which is visible the same colours that I will be using on the beard.
COSTUME
I have sourced a hat as wide-brimmed as possible for my assessment. I have also collaborated with a costume student who has created me a 'Ruff' similar to my portrait.
BACKGROUND
I intend to add my background using photoshop post-photoshoot.

This image is a darker version of my portrait. Although the shades are not correct and are too dark, it is useful as a reference as the features are close up.
